How to Reach Cagliari

 

Cavalier di Teulada

By car:
From the Ogliastra region take the state road SS 125,  called Orientale Sarda, which takes to Cagliari in not more than 1 hour and a half. From north and from inland, take the state road SS 131, called Carlo Felice, which connects Cagliari to Oristano, Sassari and Porto Torres, or, through its variation, to Olbia.
From the Iglesiente region take the state road SS 130.
From the south coast take the state road SS 195, called Sulcitana.
By plane:
The international airport of Cagliari/Elmas is reachable from:

If you move around by car, the airport is connected with Cagliari through the state road SS 130: exit in Via dei Trasvolatori direction airport, or follow the signs to centre/port in direction Cagliari. If you have no car, a shuttle service of the Arst company is available, connecting the airport with Piazza Matteotti, in Cagliari. Bus rides leave every 30 minutes from 8.40 am to 23.30 pm toward Cagliari, and from 5.20 am to 22.30 pm toward the airport. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes. Ticket price is € 2,00.  Alternatively, you can use the bus lines 9 and 19, but the bus stop lies about 1 km far from the airport. Taxis are obviously available, but we recommend to use them only to reach far away locations.
By ferry boat:
The port of Cagliari is connected with the following ports:
- Civitavecchia (Tirrenia)
- Naples (Tirrenia and Di Maio Lines)
- Palermo (Tirrenia)
- Trapani (Tirrenia)
